Kuwait Oil Company has signed a contract with ABB Engineering Technologies Company for the construction of a crude oil transit line from North Kuwait to the Central Mixing Manifold and North Tank Farm in Ahmadi. The project is part of KOC plan to boost North Kuwait oil production.
The $166.6 million contract will be completed in 750 days and includes the construction of 123 km 30 inch pipeline with a capacity of 315 mbopd. The new pipeline will be equipped with advanced control, monitoring and metering systems.
The contract was signed last week by KOC Deputy Chairman & Deputy Managing Director (Planning & Gas) Mohamed Hussain and ABB Group Senior VP & Regional Manager (India, ME & Africa) Frank Duggan.
