Good news today as reports from Libya suggest that Shokri Ghanem is back as the head of the North African state’s oil industry.
Ghanem’s progressive approach in dealing with IOCs is exactly what the country needs after decades of isolation and Libya reinstating him will go a long way to easing the nerves of the many oil foreign oil companies that are currently working in the OPEC member state.
Kudos must also go to our reporter, Abdelghani Henni, who wrote an exclusive story for ArabianOilandGas.com over a fortnight ago predicting that the charismatic Ghanem would be returning to his post following his shock resignation in September.
