Polarcus Naila AS, a member of the Polarcus Group, has taken delivery of Polarcus Naila, a modern 12 streamer 3D seismic vessel built to the Ulstein SX124 design.

The Polarcus Naila is the sister ship of the Plarcus Nadia, which was delivered in Dece,ber 2009. The vessel was built in Drydocks World – Dubai in the UAE.

The ship is a purpose built seismic vessel incorporating the innovative Ulstein X-Bow and is designed to meet the specification for offshore seismic operations worldwide. It has an 88.8m double hull and incorporates some of the most recent developments in maritime systems. It is fitted out with the latest generation Sentinel solid streamers.

The vessel will transit to West Africa to commence a charter for Noble Energy Cameroon. The Naila baosts diesel-electric propulsion, high specification catalytic converters, DP2 dynamic positioning and advanced bilge water cleaning.
