Reports from Libya suggest that Dr. Shokri Ghanem has now returned to his position as the Libyan energy minister and chairman of the state-owned National Oil Corporation (NOC), as exclusively predicted by ArabianOilandGas.com on October 11.
The NOC website reported that Ghanem had a meeting with Colonel Gaddafi’s son, Dr. Saif Al Islam, and Baghadadi al-Mahmudi the Libyan prime minster.
The website reported that discussions at the meeting centred around Libya’s oil sector, with Islam stressing the need for the management committee to continue its efforts to fully realise the potential of the Libyan oil industry.
Neither Ghanem or a spokesperson from the NOC was available for comment.
