Dolphin Energy has won the Excellence in Project Integration Award in a prize ceremony that was held on the sidelines of the International Petroleum Technology Conference and Exhibition (IPTC) which is currently taking place in Doha, Qatar.
IPTC brings together the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG); the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE); the Gas Processors Association (GPA); the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG); and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
The conference and exhibition is one of the most important global platforms for the oil and gas sector and gathers the world’s leading representatives from the industry to address technology and relevant issues. This year’s event is being held under the theme ‘World Energy Challenges: Endurance and Commitment’.
The awards are integral to the event and provide companies a chance to be recognized by the energy industry. In choosing Dolphin Energy, the IPTC Awards Committee has acknowledged the high levels of excellence at each stage of the project from inception to completion; the local, regional and international impact the project has made; the new technology that was applied at key stages; and execution on schedule, on budget, and in compliance with health, safety, security and environmental regulations.
Commenting on winning the award, Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, CEO, Dolphin Energy said: “This award is a great honor and demonstrates the high esteem in which Dolphin Energy is held. To be awarded by your industry peers is humbling and we are immensely proud.
“It is very satisfying to see that nine years of visionary planning, hard work and dedication has been recognised and rewarded. I would like to dedicate this award to the vision of the Qatar Emir, His Highness Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahayan. Both have shown wonderful commitment to ensure the success of this venture which is now helping to create wealth, growth and employment opportunities for the region.”
Adel Ahmed Albuainain, Dolphin Energy’s General Manager, Qatar added: “This award represents the culmination of a successful year for the company and is another important milestone in our short history. It demonstrates the benefits of cross border collaboration and cooperation, as well as highlighting the spirit of partnership provided by our shareholders and the unstinting dedication and hard work of our employees.”
Over the next couple of days the conference and exhibition will deliver the most thorough conference program available in the oil and gas sector. Fifty eight sessions, four panels and high level plenary sessions will take place to provide one of the most comprehensive forums for discussion and debate.
