The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) will be at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) for the fifth consecutive time, showcasing its portfolio of solutions for oil and gas operations.
In addition to solutions for natural gas processing, the company’s exhibit will also feature technologies for water treatment and microbial control.
Dow will also take part in the technical presentations this year by showing a paper focused on Improved Oil Recovery.
Outlining the benefits of IOR, Dow said in a statement: “The efficient management of oilfield water is a prominent trend currently driving industry, with efforts being made to maximise water recycle, increase reservoir productivity and reduce environmental impacts of wastewater disposal.
“As a result, more efficient techniques are being developed to avoid reservoir damage and improve oil recovery. These techniques call for the kind of sophisticated chemistries that Dow offers, particularly in water treatment and microbial control that will help the region better manage oilfield water.”

Dow’s technical paper entitled “Chemical Solutions for Improved Waterflooding in Carbonate Reservoirs” will be presented on the third day of ADIPEC – 13th of November, by Joydeep Mukherjee, Research Scientist for Dow Oil, Gas & Mining.
Dow Oil, Gas & Mining will showcase a range of solutions for natural gas processing such as UCARSOL and SELEXOL – which help remove the widest range of gas impurities while meeting treatment requirements.
