O&G show to focus on reducing carbon footprint

OGS show to discuss ways industry can be cleaner

Presentations at the OGS conference, an oil and gas event, are set to inform professionals on how to reduce the carbon footprint of the industry.

Event organiser IC&E has revealed the event will be focusing on alternative energies which can partner fossil fuels in the future.

“In terms of oil and gas there will be presentations on how to minimise carbon footprints in the oil and gas industry and details of carbon capture,” Hannah Wilson, conference director, IC&E said.

The conference will also include an “Excellence in engineering” forum, which is aimed at engineers about to graduate or recently graduated in the UAE.

“The forum will explain what it is like to be an engineer and what challenges they will face. It will tell them what they can achieve and advise them on what career path to take,” Wilson explained.

The event will be held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on 27-29 October. For more details please visit www.ogsonline.com.
