ADNOC Distribution is distributing gas cylinders of 50 lbs capacity in the Northern Emirates to under-privileged families at a subsidised price of AED 30 ($8.17) per cylinder – on par with prices in the emirate of Abu Dhabi – during Ramadan.
The move is an outcome of ADNOC Distribution’s collaboration in the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation’s ‘Iftar Project’ initiative.
Making the announcement at the annual employee gathering organised by ADNOC Distribution, Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri, CEO of ADNOC Distribution, said: “The great values and teachings of Ramadan are key drivers for ADNOC Distribution to further leverage our corporate social responsibility initiatives.
“Such efforts reflect our commitment as a national company to follow the directives of our wise leadership in the UAE and ensure the well-being of the country’s citizens and residents.”
Al Dhaheri added: “During the holy month of Ramadan we are keen to collaborate with relevant social and charity organisations across the UAE to support community-centric efforts that positive impact our society.”
