The UAE Cabinet released last month the approved holiday dates for public and private sectors in 2023.
Holiday dates for Eid will see residents having a four-day weekend, followed by two other long breaks in 2023.
Eid-al-Fitr 2023 will see a four-day weekend in the UAE, as the nation marks the beginning of the Islamic month Shawwal.
Eid-al-Fitr also marks the first day after the 30-day fasting and prayer during Ramadan.
In 2023, Ramadan is most likely to fall on March 23, however it is subject to change based on relevant moon sightings, as per predictions made by the International Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences in the UAE.
In such as case, the 30-day fast will end on Friday April 21, with Eid-al-Fitr falling on the same day.
This would lead to a four-day weekend in the UAE, falling on April 20, 21, 22 and 23.
