WorleyParsons has been awarded a project management consultancy (PMC) contract by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) for the Kuwait Environmental Remediation Programme (KERP).
The KERP programme, which is funded by the United Nations, is a large-scale environmental remediation and restoration initiative to remediate legacy oil-contamination within KOC oilfields, which were damaged in the 1991 Gulf War.
WorleyParsons will provide the services from its Kuwait office. The estimated revenue to WorleyParsons is $98mn over a five-year period.
“We are delighted that KOC has chosen WorleyParsons for this internationally significant project and we look forward to supporting KOC with their on-going programme of environmental remediation” said Andrew Wood, CEO of WorleyParsons.
