The vessel will be the third constructed by Drydocks World for Coastline. The OSA Sampson is currently under construction and the OSA Goliath was delivered last April.

“Like the Goliath and Sampson the new vessel will be caterpillar diesel-electric powered through a total of seven thrusters providing full DP3 capabilities,” a statement said.

“She will also be equipped with 4,000 tonnes crane capacity, doubling the capacity of the existing vessels. Accommodation is provided for 400 crew on seven decks,” it added.

The vessel was designed by Coastline Maritime and will be larger than her sister ships. With a beam of 36 metres the vessel is sized to transit the Panama Canal following the planned widening of its lock gates.

Drydocks World has four dockyards in total and operates in Singapore and Indonesia.
