Malaysia’s oil and gas company has made moves to expand its presence in the Middle East. In December 2018, Petronas acquired a 10% stake in Oman’s Block 61, part of Khazzan field, and earlier in the year it announced a joint venture with Saudi Aramco to build a downstream complex.
