China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation (CPECC) won a $1bn contract in April 2019 to build and operate gas processing facilities at Halfaya oilfield. It will process 300mscfd of natural gas, offsetting Iraq’s need to flare associated gas by providing necessary facilities.
