Iraq’s crude exports dipped slightly in May, after a record high in April, with the country shipping 76 million barrels of oil over the month, bringing in $7.8 billion in revenue.

Exports averaging 2.51 million barrels a day (bpd) in April, the highest in decades, saw Iraq take $8.8 billion in revenues. A continued slide in oil prices since then together with a modest fall-off in production to 2.45 million bpd acted to cut revenues.

The average selling price over May was $103.04 a barrel, compared with $115.80 in April.

582,000 bpd went to domestic refineries, up from 487,000 bpd on the month, as the summer months see increase domestic demand.
