The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has nominated Tayba Al Hashemi, the Undeveloped Reservoirs (UDR) Projects Unit Manager, within the firm’s Upstream Directorate, to be the keynote speaker for the SOGAT Conference, which takes place in Abu Dhabi from April 29th-May 3rd.
The UDR Projects Unit works on unlocking offshore and onshore hydrocarbon reserves to achieve, sustain and increase gas production through the implementation of an ultra-sour gas hub.
Dr Nick Coles from Dome Exhibitions, the organisers of the event, has announced that a number of firms are launching new products and systems for SOGAT 2018 including Evolution from Garlock, which is an efficient development in flange isolation technology for sour oil and gas, SULFA-TEK, a powerful tool to help maintenance and cleaning operations in areas prone to sulphur deposition and plugging that ARKEMA will be displaying, while Twister BV will be demonstrating the benefits of gas separation at a fraction of the life cycle cost.
There will also be four in-depth training workshops for the first three days of SOGAT looking at amine treating and sulphur recovery fundamentals, sour oil and gas process optimisation and operational enhancement of amine gas treatment units with filtration and separation technologies.
