Speaking at a ceremony hosted by Qatargas on the 20th anniversary of the first delivery of Qatari LNG to Japan, Saad Sherida al-Kaabi, managing director and CEO of Qatar Petroleum and Board chairman of Qatargas, pointed out that Japan remains one of Qatar’s biggest markets for liquefied natural gas, QIB reported.
He said that Qatargas has supplied more than 2,600 shipments of LNG to Japan over the course of two decades.
Al-Kaabi said that this relationship was not possible without Qatargas clients’ trust and the cooperation of the company’s Japanese partners, who were the first customers of Qatari liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Al Kaabi also underscored that Qatargas’ commitment to meeting Japan’s energy demands is stronger today than ever, adding that Qatar Petroleum seeks to promote future cooperation with Japan and build lasting business relationships with clients and friends.
