Qatar Petroleum announced yesterday the establishment of Ocean LNG Limited, an international unit that aims to market the country’s future LNG supply portfolio sourced outside of Qatar.
QP said that the decision was “driven by its aspirations to continue to be a global LNG leader, and to invest in LNG projects outside Qatar.”
A joint venture company owned 70% by a QP affiliate and 30% by ExxonMobil affiliate, Ocean LNG’s branch office will be established in Doha.
