PDO has opened bidding for an EPC contract to build 157km of 20” carbon steel pipelines which will link the Barik to the eighth block valve station (BVS) in Al Wusta, Oman.
The project includes the construction of other BVS systems, the number of which subject to a Quantified Risk Assessment during the FEED stage of associated works, a launcher at the Barik tie-in and a receiver at the BVS-8 tie-in.
The contract has an estimated value of $30 million, and is expected to be awarded in Q4 2012.
