International and national oil companies were on hand to give presentations on the latest technologies and project developments in the industry.

Falah Al-Yami, superintendent – technical support for the LSP (large scale steamflood project), Chevron.

It wasn’t just a corporate cauldron of wheeling and dealing; there was fun to be had as well, as seen here with a McLaren F1 game at the ExxonMobil stand.

Bill Crighton, Middle East sales and business development manager, T3 Energy Services.

Terry Willis, managing director, Energy Industries Council UK (EIC).

Over 6,000 oil and gas professionals were expected to attend MEOS ’09, walking the many aisles of the 14,000 square metre exhibition hall.

Ahmed Al Mohammed and Mubarak Al-Dossary, wireline intervention field engineers for Expro, demonstrated their wireline services in the somewhat sunnier exhibition entrance.

Schlumberger’s Martin Isaacs (left), marketing communications officer, and Colin Hulme (right), technical director Deep Reading, were there to announce the launch of its new DeepLook-EM system – an enhanced crosswell reservoir imaging and monitoring system.

The attendance of His Royal Highness Prince Andrew, Duke of York, increased the security presence at the exhibition.

Prince Andrew met with many of the exhibitors at the UK pavilion, in support of British industry abroad.
