Welcome to the online home of the 2011 Oil & Gas Middle East energy photography competition. 

The world’s dominant energy development and exporting region is home to some of the most striking upstream and downstream facilities aqnywhere on earthy. Oil & Gas Middle East, and www.ArabianOilandGas.com is running a competition to find the best individual and corporate energy images of the year.

In addition to this year’s best shots, we are also searching for the very best archive images which illustrate the eveolutioon of the region’s energy industry. 

The categories are as follows:

1. Best oil and gas image of 2011

2. Best oil and gas energy project image of 2011

3. Best midstream (ship or pipeline) image of 2011

4. Best ‘Energy at Work’ image of 2011 (employees at work on an energy installation or project site)

5. Best Legacy Image (1930 – 1970)

6. Best Iraq Oil and Gas Development image 2011

In addition, we are keen to award a best Oil and Gas image from each of the GCC countries, and will confirm these categories on the strength of entries. 

Guidelines: Please send your photograph in JPEG form, no less than 1MB, no greater than 5MB to the Editor at daniel.canty@itp.com clearly labelling your subject line PHOTO COMPETITION. The deadline to receive entries is September 15th 2011. Entries will be displayed on ArabianOilandGas.com and in print in Oil & Gas Middle East. The winners will be announced ahead of the Oil & Gas Middle East Awards, being held in Dubai on 12th December.

We will announce the prizes for each category soon.
