There are doubts over whether the three-nation gas pipeline between India, Iran and Pakistan will materialise.
Speaking at the Gulf Intelligence Energy Forum in Abu Dhabi, the former Indian Ambassador to UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia, said that “tremendous progress” had been made, but raised doubts over Pakistan’s ability to progress.
“The problem is not with Iran. We reached up to the price stage,” he said.
“But then the problems began due to the collapse of the Musharraf regime. I do not believe the pipeline will happen.”
