Sharjah-based Gulftainer aims to secure contract with petrochemical companies to enhance and diversify its business portfolio, said Peter Richards, group director and general manager of the company.
The company’s GM emphasized, in an exclusive interview with Petrochemicals Middle East magazine, that his company currently provides logistics services to several petrochemical companies including SABIC and other major petrochemical companies in the region. “We serve major
petrochemicals companies with logistics services, as it is very important for them to keep the competitiveness of their product.” said Richard.
The company has secured a logistics services contract to Borouge. “We have submitted our bid, and it was excellent, the contract with Borouge will cover the whole process of logistics from packaging till delivering it to customers,” said Richard.
“The services will include bagging and packaging, container yard operations as well as maintenance of associated equipments and vehicles,” he adds.
The company has recently announced an additional connection of Khorfakkan container terminal following the start of start of China Shipping’s Services operating in conjunction with CMA-CGM. “The Khorfakkan container terminal will be one of the biggest port terminals in the world,” he adds.
