Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMUQ) and Maersk Oil Qatar recently signed an agreement for knowledge transfer in a bid to fulfil Qatar Vission 2030.Â
The agreement was signed by Ilker Baybars, dean of Carnegie Mellon Qatar, and Sheikh Faisal bin Fahad al-Thani, deputy managing director of Maersk Oil Qatar.
The two partners will work together to deliver executive education in business management systems, information security and public policy via conferences, seminars and specialised workshops.
Through this partnership, CMUQ will seek to expose students to real-world challenges faced by companies and organisations.
As a result, students would gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in biological sciences, business administration, computer science and information systems in the course of completing their undergraduate degrees.
Carnegie Mellon is one of the top ranked universities in Qatar with more than 12,000 students, 95,000 alumni and 5,000 faculty and staff globally.
