The sixth edition of The Oil & Gas Year Abu Dhabi 2016 has announced that it is organising a strategic roundtable.
The event is scheduled to take place on October 28 at the Beach Rotana Hotel, Abu Dhabi.
The UAE’s Minister of Energy, H.E. Suhail bin Mohamed Al Mazrouei, will chair the first session on the subject of energy subsidies and deregulation of fuel prices.
Other leading officials participating in the debate include; Marc Mollema, Managing Director, Global Head of Energy and Resources – NBAD; and Maria Vagliasindi, GCC Energy Expert – World Bank.
A second debate will discuss the latest technology in the oil and gas industry and future trends we can expect in the next decade.
Experts sharing their thoughts include Andrew Vaughan, Vice President Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Syria & Country Chairman Abu Dhabi – Shell; Dr. Steven Griffiths, Vice President for Research and Professor of Practice – Masdar Institute; Mr. Neri Askland, Vice President Middle East – Statoil and Kathryn Brett, Vice President, Drilling Tools & Remedial Middle East – Schlumberger Drilling Group.
The event is being sponsored by the Arab Development Company (ARDECO), LeasePlan and Tenaris.
About 200 senior management executives will gather at the event, share their opinions and vote for the report’s 2016 awards, recognising the accomplishments of companies and individuals active in Abu Dhabi’s oil and gas industry.
