Webinar: Fall protection solutions for work at height challenges

Safety in the workplace is increasingly important in the coronavirus era, as HSE rises to the forefront and fewer people are working on site. The oil and gas sector involves inherent risks, but they can often be mitigated, reduced, and even prevented in some cases.

On 7 July, experts from MSA Safety will discuss some of the major challenges when working at height, along with a safety professional, and will explore fall protection solutions to bolster safety in the oil and gas industry.

The webinar will primarily centre around three issues in fall protection: Working at low height, compliance to personal protective equipment (PPE), and a lack of anchor points.

Working at low heights presents specific challenges, where the available fall clearance makes a typical anchor point and lanyard insufficient; proper user compliance to PPE is integral to safety, and can be improved with some simple but effective changes; and a lack of suitable anchor points can present major issues, as any fall protection system is only as strong as the anchor that workers are using.

The speakers will include Atif Malik, fall protection systems and solutions area sales manager, MSA Safety; Adil Afzal, marketing manager at MSA Safety; Ben Scotcher-Lane, fall protection and rescue instructor, MSA Safety; and Bruce Smith, PPE solutions area sales manager, MSA Safety.

Register to learn more about the challenges when working at height, to join the conversation on HSE, and to send your questions directly to safety experts.
