Gas condensate export from Phase 12 of South Pars Special Economic Energy Zone commenced after an initial shipment of 950,000-barrels.
According to the Managing Director of Iran Oil Terminals Company Pirouz Mousavi, the Phase 12 aims to produce 75 million cubic meters of natural gas, 120 barrels of condensate and 750 tons of sulfur per day in near future.
The Pars Special Economic Energy Zone was created for the utilization of South ‎Pars oil and gas resources and encouraging commercial activities in the field of oil, gas and ‎petrochemical industries.‎
The South Pars gas field is located in the Persian Gulf on the Iran-Qatar joint border and is divided into 28 phases.
