TASWEEQ signs condensates contract with ADNOC

Qatari petroleum distributor signs supply contract with the UAE

Qatar International Petroleum Marketing Company (Tasweeq) has signed its first condensate term contract with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).

Qatar Condensate is produced by Dolphin Energy and Qatar Shell’s Pearl GTL Plant from the North Field Gas Reservoir in Qatar. The condensate is primarily used in the Condensates Splitter Units and topping refineries and also used as a lightning agent for blending heavier crude oil.

The agreement was executed by Tasweeq CEO Saad A al-Kuwari, and Adnoc ‘s director (Marketing & Refining) Sultan A al-Mehairi, reports Zawya.

Al-Kuwari expressed gratification at agreement and said: “Under the guidance of HE the Minister of Energy & Industry, Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada, also Tasweeq’s chairman, we signed the agreement with Adnoc , which will not only reinforce the relationship between our companies, but will also fortify the economic association between us. It is important we carry forward this partnership to new heights in the coming years.”

Al-Mehairi said: “I am pleased to announce the success of the first condensate term contract between Adnoc and Tasweeq. This cooperation will lead to further developing business relations between Adnoc and Tasweeq. I also thank the working teams on both sides for their efforts.”
