National Drilling Company (NDC) awarded a contract to Lamprell PLC to construct two offshore oil drilling jack up rigs worth in excess of US$300m.
The contract was signed by Abdalla Saeed Al Suwaidi, general manager at NDC and Nigel McCue, Lamprell PLC chief executive officer, in the presence of Omar Suwaina Al Suwaidi, manager Onshore Division-ADNOC ENP and NDC Board member.
In the signing ceremony held at the NDC head office in Abu Dhabi, the NDC general manager stated that the award of this project marks a significant milestone in NDC history; it comes in line with its strategic plans to meet the future needs of its clients. The rigs will be built according to the most advanced international standards and conform with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company vision in Health, Safety and Environment.
