CB&I announced today that it has been awarded a contract, valued in excess of US$190 million, for two LNG storage tanks associated with a major liquefaction project in the Asia Pacific region.

CB&I’s scope of work includes the engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction of two 160,000 cubic metre LNG storage tanks. This project, which was awarded in the third quarter, is scheduled to be completed in 2013.

Earlier in the month the company was awarded a contract valued at more than $70 million by Daewoo Engineering and Construction Company for its project in Abu Dhabi.

Under the Daewoo contract CB&I will provide the propylene storage tanks for the Ruwais Refinery expansion project in Abu Dhabi, which belongs to Takreer, the Abu Dhabi Refining Company. CB&I is expected to complete the project in 2013.
