Arabtec wins $253mn of Saudi oil and gas contracts

Projects include upgrading liquefied gas and refinery facilities for Saudi Aramco

United Arab Emirates-based Arab Technical Construction Company (Arabtec) said a wholly owned subsidiary had won $253mn of contracts in Saudi Arabia’s oil and gas industry, Reuters has reported.

The projects include upgrading liquefied gas and refinery facilities for Saudi Aramco, the company said in a statement on Sunday.

In January this year, Target Engineering, subsidiary of Arabtec, was awarded two contracts worth $152mn by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc).

The work is scheduled for completion February next year. One of the projects is for the expansion of a housing complex in Ruwais, and the other is for the construction of management building and a civil defence station in the Shah gas field.

Arabtec is a leading construction company in the UAE, which specialises in engineering, procurement and construction in the oil and gas industry.
