The Zakum Development Company (Zadco), is planning to award around US$4 billion worth of contracts in the next 18 months, a source close to the company has revealed.
The Gulf News reported that Zadco, a joint venture between the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), ExxonMobil and the Japan Oil Development Company will award a number of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts for the development of the Upper Zakum Umm Al Dalkh and Satah oilfields.
“There are four major packages and there are three packages still to be tendered,” a Zadco source is reported as saying.
“The tendering will be next year and will be in phases,” he added.
The source declined to reveal neither the value nor the exact details of the EPC contracts Zadco were planning to award.
