 Algerian State Energy controlled (Sonatrach) has announced two hydrocarbons discoveries in the Illizi basin, the company has said in statement.
These discoveries have been made following the drilling of a number of wells in the region.
Menzel Ledjmet South East-9 (MLSE-9), et Zemlet Er Regab South (ZERS-1) realized in blocs 405a and 405b1, located in Menzel Ledjmet and Ledjmet South West.
The well MLSE-9 has drained from a reservoir carbonifère/Upper RKF 16549m3/h of gaz and 8,08m3/h of condensate with head pressure of 2967 psi.
These new discoveries increase the number of total discoveries by Sonatrach in 2010 to 7.
