Emerson made $1.1bn sales in the Middle East in 2018, 16% annual growth. It also boasts more than 1,300 employees in the region, half of whom are qualified engineers, and one-third of them female.

It made several acquisitions to boost its portfolio, including Zedi’s software and automation business, GE automation division Intelligent Platforms, and analytics software firm KNet.
