Construction projects worth $13.8bn were announced in the GCC in July 2019, according to a report by BNC Projects Journal. Projects in the energy sector had the highest total value, at $9.2bn, including upstream, downstream, and utilities.
Construction Week (CW), a sister title of Oil & Gas Middle East, reported that the GCC energy sector awarded contracts worth $3.7bn in July 2019.
Additionally, 90% of construction project completions in Q2 2019 occurred in July, worth a combined $13.1bn across sectors, led by energy and urban construction.
Projects worth $7bn were completed in the UAE in July 2019, CWÂ reported, compared to $3.7bn worth of projects completed in Saudi Arabia that month.
