The National Iranian Drilling Company has announced that operations for the completion of project 12+1 in Kish onshore gas field were launched on Friday, IRNA reported.

Twelve development wells plus one repair well will be completed in the two A and B clusters, according to Mohammad Reza Takayedi, deputy managing director of the National Iranian Drilling Company. He added that so far 85% of well drilling operations have been carried out through this project. Implementation of the remaining 15% drilling in this field was resumed after an operational delay and renovation with the stationing of Fath 61 drilling rig over the location and pony base, also known as rig skidding system, through coordination with the applicant company in cluster B. Once completed the project is considered to make Kish gas field the second Persian Gulf gas hub.
