Eni and BP sign exploration and production sharing agreement onshore Oman

During the exploration phase, Eni and BP will each hold a 50% interest in the agreement for Block 77, with Eni acting as the operator

Following a heads of agreement signed on 14 January 2019, Eni and BP have entered into a gas exploration and production sharing agreement (EPSA) for Block 77 with the government of the sultanate of Oman today.

Block 77 covers an area of 2,734 Km2 located in Central Oman. During the exploration phase Eni and BP will each hold a 50% interest in the EPSA, with Eni acting as operator.

Through the signature of Block 77 EPSA, Eni strengthens its role as an important player in The Sultanate of Oman, bringing its well-known experience in the exploration of new plays within existing oil & gas provinces.

Eni operates in Oman through its subsidiary Eni Oman. In the Middle East, Eni is also present in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Lebanon and Iraq.
