Al Mansoori won the HSE Initiative of the Year Awards at the Oil&Gas Middle East Awards 2014.
The winning initiative in the fiercely contested category was praised for ‘providing a strong technical solution to a complex problem’ and ensuring ‘true results’.
Adel Ahmed Baobaid, president of Al Mansoori was awarded the trophy by Dr Linda Freisler, Director & General Counsel, MEGlobal – a Category Sponsor of the event.
“The award makes us feel proud about what we’re doing, it’s great to be recognised for our hard work. The awards is for the work of all of the HSE team and the senior management, who have always believed in this approach,” said Baobaid.
“HSE is a culture that runs right through the company; we believe that the business cannot work without.
“We are operating out in the field with important equipment, so we have to ensure our people are safe, happy and healthy, as they are the real assets.”
The Drydocks World Dubai – LED Lights initiative was Highly Commended, with the judging panel finding “an effective approach to reducing the risks of electricity and conserving power.
Eversendai Offshore and Al Mansoori were Gold Sponsors of the event, while Famco and ME Global were both Category Sponsors.
