Precision Polymer Engineering (PPE) will open a new manufacturing site in Brenham, Texas this year. PPE is a leading manufacturer of advanced elastomer O-rings and components.
The project which broke ground in early April is expected to see the completion of a 30,000sq.ft.facility by October. The new factory which will specialise in the manufacture of custom O-rings and other critical elastomer sealing components.
As well as high performance compression molding of components for the oil & gas industry, the capabilities will include advanced clean room facilities which will enable manufacture to the exacting standards needed for semiconductor applications. In keeping with PPE’s operating model, the factory will have its own tool making, extrusion and inspection facilities.
PPE has a track record of developing exceptionally high performance materials for the most challenging applications. In the oil & gas industry PPE materials, including their Endura brand, have become known for their performance in high temperature and high pressure applications. For other critical applications such as in the semiconductor industry, PPE’s Perlast range has the chemical and plasma resistance needed to assure the required performance and process cleanliness.
