Larsen & Toubro Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited (LTHE) has been awarded a project worth more than $1bn for Saudi Aramco’s Marjan field. It won the contract as part of a consortium with EMAS AMC, a Subsea7 company.

The project scope for oil facilities for the Marjan Incremental Development Project consists of four tie-in platforms, one tie platform module, nine production deck modules (wellhead decks), 217 kilometres of subsea pipelines across 25 segments, and 145 kilometres of subsea cables across 16 segments. It also includes the replacement of existing control gears at eight existing SA Offshore platforms and tie-in to existing systems.

LTHE has executed many projects in Saudi Arabia, including Hasbah Gas Increment Project, Safaniya, Zulf and Berri, as well as other work on Marjan. All projects were executed through LTHE’s fabrication facilities in the Middle East and India.

LTHE is a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro and is based in Mumbai, India. LTHE was ranked first on Oil & Gas Middle East‘s list of the Top 30 EPC Contractors of 2019
