Saudi Arabian oilfield services company, Shoaibi Group, has announced that it has formed a joint venture with FMC Petroleum Equipment (Malaysia), a subsidiary of US company FMC Technologies.
FMC Technologies Saudi Arabia LTD, is based in Al Khobar in the Kingdom and offers oil operators equipment and services for oil and gas exploration, development and production.
The joint venture will manufacture surface wellhead equipment meeting API standards and then distribute it across the Kingdom.
“This represents a significant milestone in becoming more responsive to Saudi Aramco and to our ever-expanding customer base,” Don Underwood, GM of Asia Pacific Middle East for FMC Technologies said.
“It is consistent with our commitment to sustainable development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” he added.
Khaled Suhayl Al Shoaibi, director of Shoaibi Group said that he thought the joint venture would bring excellent results for both companies.
“FMC Technologies, as a world leader in technology solutions for the energy industry, fuses well with our strategy to bring technology to the Middle East and North African oil and gas markets,” Al Shoaibi said.
