Saipem wins contracts in the Middle East and Norway worth more than $100mn

EPC contractor Saipem has won offshore contracts worth more than $100mn in Norway and the Middle East, the company announced via LinkedIn today.

In the Middle East, Saipem inked a three-year contract involving the use of a high spec jack-up. It also noted that a vessel operated by Saipem would be used, and operations are set to begin in Q4 2019. It did not give any details on the oil company or any other details about the contract.

One contract was signed with Repsol Norge AS to drill a well in Norway, which is expected to start operation in Q3 2019. The company noted that work would be executed by the sixth-generation semi-submersible rig Scarabeo 9, which can undertake drilling in harsh environments.
