Weir Oil & Gas signed a four-year contract with Oman Oil Company Exploration & Production (OOCEP) to provide wellhead equipment and services.
“Weir continues to develop a strong presence in the Middle East as an oil and gas industry solutions and services provider,” said Ronan Le Gloahec, Eastern hemisphere president, Weir Oil & Gas. “We are thrilled OOCEP awarded this contract to us and look forward to providing them with pressure control engineering and local supply expertise over the next four years and beyond. With this contract we are expanding our presence in Oman, where we have been operating since 2013.”
The contract, which will be carried out by Weir Oil & Gas Oman, includes training for Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) technicians to provide in-country repairs to mechanical rotating equipment in interior workshops located in Marmul, Saih Rawl and Fahud.
