UAE

UAE has officially announced that the public sector employees in the UAE will have the opportunity to enjoy a six-day break in celebration of Eid Al Adha, according to a circular issued by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources. The holiday will commence on Tuesday, June 27 and continue until Friday, June 30, with work resuming on Monday, July 3.

The UAE Cabinet, in its designated list of public and private sector holiday dates for 2023, has allocated four days for Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha. This significant religious festival falls on the 10th day of Dhul Hijjah, the final month of the Islamic calendar, and coincides with the Hajj pilgrimage to Makkah, which is obligatory for all able Muslims at least once in their lifetime.

Eid Al Adha is a time for spiritual reflection, family gatherings, and acts of charity. It holds deep significance in the Islamic faith, reminding believers of the importance of obedience, sacrifice, and devotion to God.
